Peddlers, Croakers (Коробейники).

Peddlers wore large lubok boxes. Peddlers had their own "society", its own codes, rules of honor, and just as Charles Dickens observed in Victorian London, peddlers had their own private slang understood only by other peddlers. Peddler slang used words from other languages, or were privately invented, to pass on news, tales and gossip.
